Radio Sonar's rave 'scape review
-
November 23, 2009
Radio Sonar has given the new Cellarscape album a terrific review, describing it as: "It's not often that a soloist can boast an album full of captivating harmonies and superb drumming, yet Cellarscape brings it all to the table – and more..."
The review also says: "'Animation, Suspension' is an album full of songs that make you think you've been listening to him all your life, its instant familiarity despite fusing a whole range of musical styles has got to make this album one of the biggest surprises of the year... 'December Moon' is a hauntingly beautiful song, highlighting both his vocal talent, and his skills as a producer, with the silent gaps doing just as much work as his voice... Listen to the album that takes you from high to low and back again in fifteen perfect tracks."

Cellarscape EP Artist's New Comic
-
November 15, 2009
The artist behind the black & white snow scene of Cellarscape's debut 2006 'Copilot' EP – comics auteur Martin Eden – has released his brand new creation, 'Spandex'. Eden is the creator/writer/artist of the critically acclaimed 'The O Men' series (www.comix.org.uk/theomen), and now, the first issue of his latest comic book drama, 'Spandex', is available to buy online.
SkyBabyRecords is a massive fan of 'The O Men' and Eden's artistry in general, and 'Spandex' is a brand new super-drama with a very unique spin, but still has the trademark strong characterisation, razor-sharp dialogue and emotionally-driven plotlines you'd expect from this very gifted British writer/artist. Check out the main 'Spandex' website here: http://www.spandexcomic.com/

The Ripple Effect rave review
-
October 5, 2009
"Turn it on as the storm approaches. See if the thunder doesn't resonate in time…" is just one of the many poetic and enthusiastic comments The Ripple Effect make about the new Cellarscape album.
The online guide to "the best music you’re not listening to" – The Ripple Effect – have talked wildly about 'Animation, Suspension', hailing the record as "at times light and playful, at others crushingly heavy, punishing, sinister… drives new tension into the alt-acoustic genre."
As well as being a very glowing review of the album, it’s also an extremely well written and engaging piece of writing – so make sure you check out the full-length critique here, half-way down the webpage:
http://ripplemusic.blogspot.com/
Thanks to The Ripple Effect team for the fantastically written review.

Australian webzine calls Cellarscape "Groundbreaking..."
-
September 21, 2009
Australia's IndieShowcase have reviewed Cellarscape's 'Animation, Suspension' album, describing it as: "A symphony for today's music lover. Alternative. Experimental. Groundbreaking." In this long, detailed review, IndieShowcase also critique the new album as: "runs the gauntlet of emotions and comes out the other side positive and renewed… songwriting skills read like a poet's dream… putting together the words to create a symphony of pictures and sound in your mind."
Certain tracks are also singled out for high praise, including: "'Punchlines' is an beautiful representation of Paul Terry's gift for both songwriting and vocals. The melody is wonderful and will have you hooked… 'Shadowfight' is a hard hitting , guitar & drum track – this one will have you up off your chair. Absolutely fantastic… 'Minor Fractures' starts off with a lone acoustic guitar then breaks into a full frontal rock/pop track. Very upbeat, great for the club. Songwriting is impeccable. You will be singing along with this one right away. A song that everyone can relate to."
