'A Theta/Delta Union' release date change
-
July 7, 2011
The new 5-track record from Cellarscape, 'A Theta/Delta Union' has had its release date adjusted to later this summer, to tie-in with the video shoot date change for lead song 'Snowglobe'. The exact street-date will be announced in the coming weeks.
Artist and graphic designer Paul Shubrook has created the artwork for the release, and special limited edition prints will be available of his stunning work (which will be preview very soon too).
This new Cellarscape EP embraces the 'Extended Play' nature of the format, with nearly 30mins of new music across its five songs.
And prep work has already begun on the follow-up... full-length album 'The Act Of Letting Go' will be out in 2012, and will feature 12 new songs (none repeated from the forthcoming EP).
Cellarscape joins VibeDeck
-
July 1, 2011
VibeDeck, the brand new web service which allows artists to sell digital versions of their music directly to their fans (with minimal fuss and zero cost), now has Cellarscape on its system.
All of Cellarscape's releases are available on VibeDeck at prices cheaper than iTunes & Amazon, with an added incentive for music fans who enjoy supporting independent artists: when they buy the music, it goes directly to the band that makes it – no middle men, no executives taking their cut, not even VibeDeck takes a cut. What a genius concept – one that SkyBabyRecords loves a lot.
We love it so much, in fact, that SBR will be making some future, very special releases EXCLUSIVE to VibeDeck.
More on that very soon, but for now, check out the brand new Cellarscape VibeDeck page, where you can stream all of the songs (no clips – all full-length songs), and buy the releases at very competitive prices:

New film score completed for dark comedy
-
May 25, 2011
Paul Terry has completed a new original soundtrack for forthcoming British comedy short 'The Deaths Of Grace Miller' from director Rizwan Shahid.
The quirky tale features the unusual but amusing combination of a granny, some spying, and even a duck pond. Just completing its post-production process, 'The Deaths Of Grace Miller' will begin its lifecycle being sent around the film festival circuit later this year.
A hectic, but very productive year already, so far, 2011 has seen four new soundtracks from Paul Terry either being completed or on the film circuit: 'The Furred Man' has received huge international acclaim (with 9 awards and 25 film festivals to date) and received its worldwide television premiere in February on Channel 4; new retro sci-fi short 'Red Light'; medieval action comedy 'Queen Of Hearts' (in its final post-production stages), and now, 'The Deaths of Grace Miller'.
Paul is also in Stateside discussions for more scoring work – hopefully we can bring you more details on this exciting project very soon.

Brand new film soundtrack for 'Red Light'
-
April 4, 2011
As part of Sci-Fi London10: The London International Festival of Science Fiction & Fantastic Film, Evil Hypnotist Productions (helmed by SkyBabyRecords' Paul Terry as producer/composer and writer/director Paul Williams) took part in the 48-hour Challenge over the weekend, and have successfully written, shot, edited, scored & delivered to the jury a brand new short film entitled 'Red Light'.
With elements chosen blindly from a box (title of 'Red Light', a line of dialogue and a prop that had to be used), EHP brought together a willing extended team of old and new talents, and crafted (with approx 2 hours sleep over the 2-day challenge) and completed the new short.
Once the final edit was locked, Paul Terry worked on the score through Sunday night through till dawn, bringing on SBR regular bassist Niki Jones, and meeting with long-term mixer James Bellamy early Monday morning to complete the score and prep the sound to lock off the film for its 1pm delivery deadline. Team EHP made it with 15mins to spare...
The score is influenced from the classic 1950s era of sci-fi, very close to Paul's heart – especially the Quatermass tales from Nigel Kneale – but with an all-important contemporary edge too.
We'll announce how 'Red Light' does in the challenge in a few weeks time when the judges make their decision.
