”˜The Furred Man’ hits festivals

The picture and sound are both locked for the new horror-comedy short, ‘The Furred Man’.

Written and directed by Paul Williams (‘The Wake’, ‘Mightier’), and scored and produced by SkyBabyRecords’ Paul Terry (who has worked on every film by Williams since 1999), the werewolf story features creature effects by SFX wizard Jon Moore (Ridley Scott’s ‘Robin Hood’, ‘Doctor Who’).

‘The Furred Man’ has already begun its global journey, being entered into various film festivals, so more news on this as it happens. You can keep up to date with ‘The Furred Man’ from its IMDB page here:

Brand new Cellarscape EP

Early prep has started for the new Cellarscape EP, due out this Autumn/Winter. The 4-track EP, entitled ‘A Theta/Delta Union’, has been described an "an interval record," between 2009’s ‘Animation, Suspension’, and the next full-length album due out later in 2011.

As a deliberate contrast to ‘Animation, Suspension’s constant gear changes, the new ‘A Theta/Delta Union’ EP will be Cellarscape at its most delicate. From the demo tracks, this sounds like the kind of record to stick on in the early a.m. with a bottle of red wine. More updates very soon. ï»¿

New soundtrack mixed and ready

The score to new Paul Williams short film ‘The Furred Man’ is now mixed and complete. PT finished mixing the soundtrack with James Bellamy (who worked on all of PT’s Cellarscape recordings and film work), who even provided some killer Hammond organ for the end credits theme.

PT is also the producer of ‘The Furred Man’, and flew with writer/director Williams to Copenhagen yesterday for the film’s grading process. They’ve met up with the film’s Director of Photography Eugen Gritschneder and 1st Assistant Director Henrik Kolind to work through the detailed and important colour grading process. ï»¿

This weekend, Paul Terry completed the recording of the soundtrack for the new Paul Williams film ‘The Furred Man’.

At The Safehouse studios, gifted violinist Carole Carpenter laid down her parts (including a serene but creepy vocalization) for the score in just a matter of hours, with Emma Watts and Julia Hardy providing some excellent guests vocals for the surf-rock of the end credits theme ‘Bite Me (She Said)’.

Bass & guitar wolf action

Niki Jones, who has appeared on all of Paul Terry’s film soundtracks lent his bass and guitar skills to ‘The Furred Man’s end credits song ‘Bite Me (She Said)’ today. The ’60s surf-rock groove is now taking shape even more.

Cellarscape listeners can also hear Nik’s intuitive and most excellent bass work of several tracks on 2009’s ‘Animation, Suspension’ record.

Soundtrack for ”˜The Furred Man’ begins

Paul Terry (aka Cellarscape) has begun the recording sessions for the soundtrack to the forthcoming new film by British writer/director Paul Williams. The new horror-comedy short will feature a brand new score and end credits theme tune by PT. Tracking for the drums for the end credits song, entitled ‘Bite Me (She Said)’ started yesterday, with the rest of the instruments and themes to be recorded in fits and starts over the next couple of weeks.
